Westlaw Patron Remote Access Available at Hawaiʻi Supreme Court Law Library

Guest post by Jenny R.F.F. Silbiger, State Law Librarian & Access to Justice Coordinator

The Hawai‘i Supreme Court Law Library is participating in the Westlaw Patron Access Remote Pilot Program with Thomson Reuters to provide pro se patrons (self-represented litigants) remote access to the Westlaw database.

To gain access, users will be required to complete a OnePass Registration and validate their email address before accessing the online content. Once registered, patrons can then login at this same link using their credentials they’ve created.

Users can access primary law from the federal level and all 50 states, including case law, statutes, regulations and administrative decisions, as well as take advantage of the Westlaw KeyCite system.  Please note that this pilot is limited to two concurrent seats, meaning that only two individuals can be signed in at the same time.

We invite you to register and take a look around, and we would love to hear your feedback!  If you have any questions and/or further thoughts, please contact us at the Hawai‘i Supreme Court Law Library at lawlibrary@courts.hawaii.gov
