Popular Workshops at the Law Library

It turns out that our community is THIRSTY FOR KNOWLEDGE!!!

Knowledge about making books and repairing them! Ellen-Rae Cachola Evening Supervisor and Archives Manager and Storm Stoker Tech. Services Support Specialist, stepped in to fill the void.

We were surprised when both workshops filled to capacity within 24 hours, we even had to turn a few eager book lovers away! I want to reassure those filled with deep remorse about missing our workshops that we will be offering more in the future so watch this space.

Happy book makers!

The book repair workshop on October 2, 2019, taught librarians, archivists and students how to repair the pesky tears that mar the perfection of their treasured tomes. Repairs can range from quick, cheap and functional to high end and nearly invisible.

Excitement was in the air!

The bookmaking workshop on November 4, 2019, taught everyone from librarians to lawyers how to make a bespoke, one-of-a-kind, cherished notebook to hoard for themselves or give away this holiday season. What could someone write in one of these stunning, inspiring notebooks? The next great novel? Their darkest secrets? A love letter to that dark, brooding librarian who fixes books and inspires undying love among the masses? The location of buried treasure? If you are lucky enough to received one of these notebooks as a gift…you’re welcome.
