National Library Week – Banned Book Drawing at the Law Library

With National Library Week now over, we want to say mahalo to everyone who entered our Banned Books contest to win a copy of some of the most challenged books in America.  We had a LOT of entries and five lucky students were winners in our contest.

Here are the winners of our daily drawings and the book that they won:

  • Monday – Hunter Kam, winner of the book Looking for Alaska
  • Tuesday – Erika Elona, winner of the book The Absolutely True Story of a Part-Time Indian
  • Wednesday – John Hund, winner of the book Thirteen Reasons Why
  • Thursday – Miah Bonilla, winner of the book George (now titled Melissa)
  • Friday – RB*, winner of the Captain Underpants box set

We hope you enjoyed learning about banned and challenged books and the issues that libraries and schools face regarding the right to read and freedom of speech.
