Law Library Online Catalog - VOYAGER
VOYAGER, the online catalog for the University of Hawai`i System is the principal source for locating the most current information on the holdings of the Law Library. It replaces the UHCARL online catalog. It provides a web interface to the online catalog and Internet sites through a browser such as Netscape or Internet Explorer. It also provides access to library databases throughout Hawai`i, including Hawai`i State Archives and Bishop Museum. Anyone may access the Law Library catalog on the web at http://uhlaw.lib.hawaii.edu/ or through the Law Library's website: http://library.law.hawaii.edu/. You may also use the catalog online tutorial by clicking on http://uhlaw.lib.hawaii.edu/help/contents.htm. Three PC's in the Reference Area are available to search the catalog

Reference Materials
Most of these materials are located in the Reference Area and include frequently-used multi-volume publications, current loose-leaf services, citators, legal encyclopedias and periodicals indexes. They are for library use only and have "LAW REF" in the call number. Refer to the Reference Area map for location of specific titiles.

Reserve Materials
Reserve Materials include frequently-used publications such as study aids, current directories, some dictionaries, and county codes. They may be charged out for two hours for library use only.

Microforms
Almost one half of the Library's holdings are in microform format. Request all items at the Circulation Desk. Reader/printers are located in the Reference Area. You must have dimes and a copy card in order to print copies. The library does not provide change.

Videotapes and Audiotapes
Please request all videotapes and audiotapes at the Circulation Desk. These are reserved for law student and law faculty use only.

Periodical Indexes
The online periodical index LegalTrac is located in the Reference area. Printed periodical indexes are found on the shelves in the same area. They include Current Law Index, Index to Legal Periodicals & Books and Index to Foreign Law Periodicals.

Periodical Title List
A printed list of periodicals is available in the Reference Area and at the Circulation Desk. It does not replace the online catalog. Check the online catalog if you do not find a specific title in the printed list.

Current Newspapers and Magazines
Current issues of local daily newspapers, legal newspapers, and magazines are located in the Reference Area next to the VOYAGER online terminals. Back issues are kept for a limited time and may be requested at the Circulation Desk.

United States Government Documents
The Library maintains a small selected depository of government documents. For documents not available here, go to Sinclair Library Government Documents section which has a bigger and more complete collection. You may also access federal government executive, legislative, and regulatory information services in the U.S. Government Printing Offices's GPO Access database:
